As many people who’ve become successful entrepreneurs, they may get asked where it all started. Some may look back to their childhoods or from a point in life that triggered something within their spirit to venture out, become an entrepreneur and own boss. Some people, rather a few of my hero entrepreneurs, had early signs and start of their journeys from childhood.
I would like to think my journey started in childhood as well, but being an honest Texan, that’s only half right. Being the middle child, I was more an introvert in social settings and an extrovert around family. My entrepreneur practice was mostly done behind closed doors for many years and only making profits for school fundraisers.
The World Is My Table
Until the time came to decide my college career course of action, I finally allowed my mind to shift and wander through all the possibilities of business that awaited. Food was certainly my career choice, and I envisioned all the areas I could venture into being an entrepreneur. I saw myself with the big hitters of the hotel and restaurant industry and made a plan from there.
Not forgetting that small corner of introvert-ness, I wanted to start small to find my footing.
The life I envisioned was to have many locations and markets within the culinary realms. I wanted to make a difference and have my imprint of ideas and tastes available to everyone that I could.
There were no restrictions has to what I could do in the restaurant industry when I became the boss of my empire.
Along with several restaurant chains, I saw the freedom to travel and live without work and money restrictions. The future was bright. I could treat my family when we all needed time away from work. By being the boss, it meant creating financial and time freedom for all types of vacation. The pool of abundance was great and I saw the flow of creating as an easy task.
Young Entrepreneurs Without Fins To Swim
Being a Capricorn and having a leader-type personality, work would always be a constant investment of time, as we like to stay busy, but I wanted to move forward with purpose and progress for society as well.
As they say, when you find the time and financial freedom, you can work from anywhere(if you choose). For a culinarian entrepreneur, work and time freedom are simple moments for adventure, together! Places around the beach or in the mountains, entrepreneurs can nest anywhere around the globe.
This lifestyle vision became my fule source to move through college and move towards being a new entrepreneur.
Through work and college, I saw my culinary instructors and mentors moving from place to place, but never seeing happiness and satisfaction for all the hard years of training and working. What was missing? They had exciting lifestyles, that I wanted, on the outside but still, I continued to learn and observe the industry.
Skills and training and no financial freedom
Each mentor I knew personally back then, only had half the recipe to live an abundant, entrepreneur lifestyle I wanted. Where were the financial rewards for all the hard work, training and coaching they’ve been through?
During culinary school, I was constantly bombarded with the inspiration for business after business. To this day, they continue to flow.
It wasn’t until I married and became a mother that things only got worse, in the sense my entrepreneur goals were put on hold.
After divorce, all I had left to fall back on was the plans to be something big. I had to rewrite my outline for life and start again.
Finding My True Entrepreneur Mentors
When it came time to decide if I was going to work hard to make it as an employee while learning – and hoping to become an entrepreneur was going to happen right away – I was presented with an opportunity to learn about affiliate marketing.
Did I want to be a struggling single mom with a wish? No way! This was never my dream. (Not that struggling is ever anyone’s dream life.) I wanted to be a SUCCESSFUL single mom!
Slowly, I started to embrace the world of mobile connections and social outlets. A new me was emerging from taking the wrong road in life, and I found myself with a grand business just waiting on me.
I finally found the entrepreneurs who had all the pieces together, the career path, the time freedom, and even financial freedom! And they were showing me how I could incorporate it all.
I watched and read books about the amount of effort -time, training, schooling, work – was needed to become an entrepreneur. I had always been ready to put in the work. Only this time, years had passed and they were on to bigger things as technology grew and advanced.
Push the breaks! Build an empire with a laptop? I couldn’t believe my eyes. Was this now the world we were living in? I think I was still stuck in the kitchen with my chef knife. I always pictured business to mean loans, building or renovating buildings, and hiring staff.
After doing a quick search about affiliate marketing, and saw all the steps and learning process in that alone, I said no thank you.
Almost a year went by and I’m still asking the universe for a sign as to how to become this great entrepreneur of my time. And the funniest thing happened! The universe came in with not such a direct approach to affiliate marketing this time. I was lead to a spiritual mentor whom, you guessed it, was into affiliate marketing.
I sighed so heavy and said, “Okay, I’ll at least look into it.” Within moments I was on the path to starting my training on becoming an affiliate myself.
“If this is how you want me to start my new life, let’s start today universe.” And immediately after that acknowledgment, I began to feel whole once again. It had been years since I’ve felt free to manifest something good and right for my future. My little light within grew and flickered, and if it wasn’t contained within my soul, I could’ve started a fire.
Maybe not as dramatic as that thought above, but close enough. I knew my soul found its true calling.
What’s this mentor entrepreneur online program?
For all like-minded entrepreneurs without a clear path or no one to take you by the hand to show you how to create your business, all the training is sourced in one place. The web is full of programs that are not well structured. This affiliate training allows you to start out building the life you want and not by someone else’s terms.
Mentoring comes in from others who’ve used the program and became successful. Some didn’t even start this wanting to be an entrepreneur!!! (I couldn’t imagine this till I saw it for myself.)
All training is done at home with an internet connection. And, this is where I do most of my great brainstorming for business anyway.
Since I started with my affiliate training, I’ve opened up two websites.
“Yikes! Cassie was able to figure out technology enough for an online business??! “
Absolutely! I’ve managed to learn to build websites because the process is straight forward. And both websites are for creating and launching my businesses and building the financial freedom I’ve longed to have.
