By focusing on your life’s purpose, mission, and values, we can create a lifestyle of freedom, lived out on your terms.
So who am I? Which path led me to an online business that’s opened doors for creating the future I’ve been destined to build? Take a brief moment to discover a piece of my journey so far…
It’s taken me many years to narrow down my true interests and hobbies. Alright, that might not be the case, since for an entrepreneur, interests, and hobbies are never truly perfected, as they are always evolving.
Business owners can tap into a gold mine when they take the potential of each business idea to the global economy and start to see results of success in shorter amounts of time than having to take the traditional route – such as constructing four walls, having a large sum of startup capital…and leaving home to be the boss.
Before knowing much about the world of online business, I enrolled in one of our world’s top culinary programs, which combined my love of service and the food industry. Little did I know, upon earning my next degree, life would take me on the journey of marriage and motherhood. Unfortunately, it was not the wonderful dream life I had always hoped for.
Even before marriage and motherhood, I had many ideas on how to build my brand of restaurants, products and more. Many of you have experienced nights like I have, lying awake in bed because ideas are forming of your next business venture. However, life had other plans for me before I could put those ideas to use.
What I had hoped would be a lifetime of love and family life in Maryland, was cut short with an ugly divorce. The only blessing to come out of it was a beautiful son. So after a short-lived marriage and the gift of an amazing child later, I found myself needing to regroup and get back on the path of happiness and faith for my highest self. It was also during that time that my health began to suffer due to a toxic environment; despite my strong beliefs against divorce, I felt it was my only option to save my health, my son, and my life, and I returned home to Texas with my son.
Back in my home state of Texas, little did I know, most of my time would still be spent dealing with my divorce rather than building my empire for my son and me.
From the moment of my son’s birth, I had always been a stay-at-home-mom into his toddler years and I was determined to remain at home post-divorce.
After the divorce, with endless ideas piling up and stored away for a later date, the internal push to get going was now something I couldn’t ignore. As we know, when something needs to come out, it always finds a way to come to the surface!
With a business education handy, I was now faced with an important question: how was I to get my career back on track after divorce? For a few years, I put my job as a mother first. I compiled all my interest, talents and hobbies together. Making a brand from the bottom up was becoming an overwhelming feat.
Knowing that spending full-time hours away from my son was not an option, and knowing working from home full-time can and has been done by many others, I set out to find something that would enable me to do just that.
Not wanting to be away from my son long – if at all – I needed my own income, and I needed the ability to take my work with me. I knew that traveling out of state for custody hearings too often would make it difficult to hold down a traditional job.
Perhaps the most important consideration I was facing was that I did not want to be a mere employee. Being a leader -another one of my life themes – I needed to put my leadership and business management skills to use.
Today, marketing is one of the fastest growing online business ventures, which made me realize I needed to find a way to translate my working knowledge of marketing into the online world.
It was time to face my fears of going beyond the world of chef knives and traditional business models, to braving the digital age of technology. Kind of like when you have to shake the paper a little to get the eraser dust off to keep writing. I needed to take my first steps into the online digital marketing world in order to reach you. All you need to do now is reach out and take my hand.
The path for those who have ‘entrepreneur’ as a life theme can be a lonely one with countless ups and downs, big, big goals, bigger dreams, and tons of ideas. From one fellow entrepreneur to another, I get it.
Due to the ups and downs and countless projects that come to mind, most don’t have the knowledge to ever see their dreams manifest. Having an online business makes it easy to branch out as an entrepreneur and is one main reason why I chose to take my ventures online.
As entrepreneurs, we don’t shy away from a product or item…we learn to merge them together, for the most part. For me, it is even more thrilling knowing many of my interests and hobbies can all lead back to food – still keeping in line with my culinary field.
Tip: Never waste an idea, see the opportunity to grow and expand it to help others.
For those with a business mindset, it’s a struggle at times to focus on one task and complete it – “just get it done!” we often have to tell ourselves.
How often have you asked yourself: How can I put all this together?… How can I not sacrifice one interest for another… Why can’t I do both?… There’s someone out there who needs this solution, this product, and this service.
Just as I was asking myself these very questions, the solution walked up to me. Literally, I was told where to turn – YouTube – which led to this amazing opportunity. I found an online source to help me compile my ideas and start my spiritual entrepreneur journey.
Knowing my business goals, I jumped right in and began letting the digital market work for me.
It was then that a much bigger perspective opened…residual income. And you know what I found out about residual income?
Tip: It’s never wise to leave yourself vulnerable and searching for that solution.
That it’s okay to have residual income. It’s certainly okay to have a safety net for when life leaves you in a situation with no income.
That having many sources of residual income is wise as well. It’s provided me with more time and freedom to continue to be the stay-at-home-mom I had always wanted to be.
So, I’m now taking my newfound time and opportunity to create my businesses online, and I’m so glad you have decided to join me!
